Hop into history - A celebration of India Pale Ale at The Gun
Hop back into history at the award-winning Gun’s three-day India Pale Ale festival this September and discover why London’s Docklands was the hub of all the I.P.A. shipping and brewing action throughout the 19th century.
From Friday 13th – 15th September, real ale enthusiasts can gather in the covered Gin Garden at the side of the pub to sample the reasons why this well-hopped brew grew to be one of Britain’s greatest exports.
Jam-packed with bombastic brews and fabulous food, the festival will feature I.P.A. from top London and UK brewers including the likes of: Buxton Brewery; Tempest; Thornbridge; and Magic Rock, to name but a few.
To soak up some of the brews, The Gun’s barbecue will be fired up and a variety of sausages set to sizzle for Battle of the Bangers: wild boar and apple; spiced Herdwick lamb; partridge, honey and mustard; venison and cranberry; Welsh Dragon; and Lake District Farmers’ Cumberland will all bid to be your favourite.
There will be lawn games galore and a family day on Sunday means there will be a children’s entertainer too.
Entry is FREE on the day and you can buy tokens on arrival to pay for food and drink as you go, or you can purchase a special advance ticket for £10 (buys three half pints of a selection of ales on draught, plus one item from the barbecue).
Book your special-priced advance tickets by contacting Anna at The Gun: email@example.com / 020 7515 5222 / 07872 456 116 or just turn up!
