Another event to benefit from the glorious Bank Holiday sunshine was the Long Itchington Beer Festival. All six boozers in the village near Leamington came together to put on the four-day event with at least 5,000 ale fans moving from pub to pub.Drinkers were ferried between the venues on a cart pulled by shire horses to sample the best of Midland breweries.Simon Mills, landlord of the Harvester, said: "It's gone fabulously well."The weather's been better than we could have ever expected and we've been busier than we could have expected. It's by far the busiest one we've done."As a self -employed person you can never be too busy – but it was close."The village was teaming with revellers who could also camp in nearby fields. The other participating pubs were The Duck On The Pond, The Buck & Bell, The Green Man, the Cuttle Inn and The Two Boats.Simon added: "The atmosphere's been great. It's felt like being on holiday."
