Skipton’s Copper Dragon brewery has recently appointed Rick Pomfret to the position of Sales Manager.

Rick, 50, hails from Bury and trained as an accountant before beginning his career in 1982 as an Industrial Engineer with Bass Charrington in Manchester. He went on to spend 24 years with Bass before becoming Brewery Manager with HB Clark in Wakefield in 2006.

Copper Dragon MD Steve Taylor commented: “Rick has almost three decades of experience within the brewing industry and he will bring a lot of knowledge to our continually expanding sales operations across the Midlands and North of England.”

Rick said: “Copper Dragon has a great reputation as a brewer of fine cask ales and I’m looking forward to the challenge of building on their growth.”

Established in 2002, Skipton-based Copper Dragon supplies its hand crafted Best Bitter, Golden Pippin, Scots 1816, Challenger IPA and Black Gold cask ales to over 2000 pubs across the UK as well as major supermarkets and foreign markets as far afield as Australia and Russia.
