Sharp’s Sail into Spring with Atlantic IPA

The award-winning Sharp’s Brewery in Cornwall has kick-started spring this week with the launch of the latest beer from its popular ‘Seasonals’ range, Atlantic IPA.

The spring beer has been brewed from an all-malt grist with a blend of four types of hops, added at different stages of the brewing process. Continuing Sharp’s close partnership with the Eden Project, one of the varieties used has been grown by the ‘Green Team’ in Cornwall – the results of an exciting new initiative to re-establish hop growing in the county.

Commenting on the new beer head brewer, Stuart Howe, said: “For a few years Sharp’s Atlantic IPA has only been a bottle brand but now it has returned to the cask in a new guise using A-list hops.”

The blend of hops, which includes Centennial, Simcoe and Citra, gives the beer a complex nature which is carefully balanced by a fresh, citrus aroma and light candyfloss notes.

Stuart continues: “We’ve taken the essence of the original IPA and modernised it to create a refreshing drink with a superb dry finish and a deep golden colour. Winter is finally over!”

Atlantic IPA (4.2% ABV) is available on draught in pubs and bars until 1st June.
